What You Pay
You pay for three things: the license, your servers, and card fees. The license is a flat yearly price for each site, not a price per client or per user.
| License | Price a year | Forms | Submissions a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $2,000 | 2,500 | 500,000 |
| Professional | $5,000 | 10,000 | 1,500,000 |
| Enterprise | $10,000 | Unlimited | 4,000,000 |
| Enterprise Plus | $15,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
- Servers: the hosted Genie Snap sandbox runs on two web servers and one database server for about $180 a month, including Windows Server and SQL Server licensing. That is about $2,200 a year. Your cost depends on your hosting provider and on how many clients share the site.
- Card fees: if your clients pay by card, your card processor keeps a small share of each payment. At these plan prices, plan on about 4%. Genie Snap takes no share of your subscription revenue.
- Your time: setup, support, and automation work. You charge for these separately, so they add to what you earn.
Included in Every License
Many cloud tools charge extra for these, or keep them for their top plans. Every Genie Snap license includes them.
No Per-User or Per-Signature Fees
Unlimited users, and eSignature with no charge for each document sent. A client can add staff without raising your costs.
Single Sign-On at Every Tier
Each client's users can sign in through their own organization's sign-on. Elsewhere, single sign-on is often a top-tier feature or a paid add-on.
Forms, Documents, Signatures, and an API
Each form comes with its own document template and REST API. Editing a form later doesn't break the systems that already use its API.
Included, not free: you provide the servers, so you control where your clients' data lives.
Recommended Client Plans
A starting point for the plans you sell. You set your own names, prices, and limits in Billing Admin, and you can change them any time.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Forms | Submissions a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 3 | 100 |
| Essentials | $29 | $290 | 25 | 15,000 |
| Growth | $37 | $360 | 50 | 36,000 |
| Business | $95 | $900 | 100 | 150,000 |
- Every plan includes eSignature, document generation, single sign-on, and the API.
- Yearly prices give two or more months free. Monthly plans get a twelfth of their yearly submissions each month, so a client can't use a year's worth in a month and cancel.
- Free is the plan every new account starts on, including people who only sign a document. Keep it small on a site that hosts paying clients.
How These Plans Compare
Each plan costs at least 20% less than a cloud plan with the same or fewer forms and submissions. Prices are the published list prices, checked in November 2026.
| Your plan | Compared with | Their price, monthly / yearly | You charge less by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials, $29 | Cloud form builder, entry plan: 25 forms, 12,000 submissions a year | $39 / $34 a month | 26% / 29% |
| Growth, $37 | Cloud form builder, mid plan: 50 forms, 30,000 submissions a year | $49 / $39 a month | 24% / 23% |
| Business, $95 | Cloud form builder, top plan: 100 forms, 120,000 submissions a year | $129 / $99 a month | 26% / 24% |
| Business, $95 | Cloud form and document suite: 100 forms, with documents and signatures | $299 / $250 a month | 68% / 70% |
eSignature services are usually priced per user, with a cap on documents sent. Your plans include eSignature with no per-user or per-document charge.
What You Can Earn on Starter
This example uses a $2,000 Starter license, about $2,200 a year in servers, and card fees of about 4%. Clients are on a mix of the plans above, averaging about $425 a year each.
| Paying clients | You keep each year, before your own services |
|---|---|
| 10 | About break-even |
| 25 | About $6,000 |
| 50 | About $16,000 |
| 85 | About $30,000 |
This is upside, not a forecast. What you keep depends on two things: what your servers cost, and how many paying clients share the site.
After about 10 clients, each new client adds about $400 a year. Your fees for hosting, support, and automation come on top.
The example assumes clients use about a fifth of their plan's yearly submissions, on average. That is how about 85 clients fit within Starter's 500,000 submissions. Billing Admin shows each client's usage, so you can check your own numbers.
Each License Step Raises Your Margin
Each step up gives you more submissions for each dollar of license. As you add clients, your license cost for each client goes down.
| License | License cost per 1,000 submissions | Clients a site can serve (est.) | License cost per client a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $4.00 | About 85 | About $23 |
| Professional | $3.33 | About 260 | About $19 |
| Enterprise | $2.50 | About 700 | About $14 |
| Enterprise Plus | No license limit | As many as your servers handle | Lowest |
Client counts use the same usage assumption as the Starter example. Larger sites need larger servers, so size and load-test them before you commit.
When a Client Outgrows Its Plan
First, a Bigger Plan
Clients are emailed as they near a limit, so they upgrade before anything is refused. An upgrade applies at once, and the difference is charged for the rest of the period.
Then, a Dedicated Site
A client with large volume, or its own data requirements, can move to a site of its own with its own license. You can host it, or it can run on the client's servers, with you providing support.
Letting Prospects Try It
- A demo site: run a separate site on the free Partner Demo license for prospects to explore. It doesn't use your production license.
- A small Free plan: on your production site, the Free plan lets a prospect try a few forms. You set its limits in Billing Admin.
- A free trial with Stripe: set the trial length in billing.json. A new client's first paid plan starts with it. Stripe takes the card at sign-up and charges nothing until the trial ends.
- A timed trial by hand: in Billing Admin, put a prospect on a paid plan with a paid-until date two weeks away. When the date and the grace period pass, the account returns to Free.
