About Genie Snap

Richard's first decade in industry was spent writing the software that ran the machines themselves. As a Process Control Engineer, he designed and wrote automation software for real-time manufacturing. That automation had to execute deterministically, with no tolerance for drift or ambiguity: a process either holds within spec or it doesn't. That discipline, more than anything that came later, is the foundation for everything since.

He carried that discipline into two decades of building enterprise systems that aren't allowed to be wrong. As Enterprise Architect at Aflac, he designed the enterprise data model and helped build the billing, policy administration, and claims systems the insurer runs on every day, where a form, a document, and a downstream record must agree every time.

He then moved into government work, first as a Sr. IT Specialist with IBM Global Services and later as Enterprise Architecture COE Administrator for the State of New Jersey Judiciary, developing software for the courts, one of the most audit-heavy, compliance-bound environments there is.

In 2015, Richard founded Kim Technologies, where, as Founder, CTO, and Board Member, he architected Kim Platform and Kim Document for task automation. He holds four U.S. patents, assigned to Kim Technologies, covering two inventions.

In 2025, Richard founded Genie Snap to bring quick-to-market intake automation, sovereignty, and cost control to organizations of any size.

Genie Snap builds intake processes from a description or a Word or PDF document. People fill out a web form, and each submission fills in your original document, ready for signature. Every submission is tracked and routed from one dashboard and available to other systems through the form's API, with nothing else to buy or build. The same discipline runs underneath: the form, its API, and its document are built together by fixed rules rather than an AI model, so the same input gives the same result every time.

It installs on standard servers, runs fully air-gapped when required, and was designed from day one for MSPs and integrators to run on their clients' behalf.
